Leinster LGFA Post-Primary Schools Competitions
PPS - Rules Regulations 2018-19
Leinster LGFA organise the following Post-Primary School Competitions:
Senior(U20) Junior (U16)
Players must be U-20 / U-16 years of age on or after the 1st of July
There are Five Divisions A, B, C. D & E.
The ‘E’Competition is 11- a- side to facilitate newer / smaller school teams
Panels of 20 with 5 Subs allowed
Full size pitch – 25 minutes per half
Division A, B, C will represent Leinster in the All Ireland Semi Finals & Final, Division D & E will finish at Leinster Final.
Leinster Council will decide as to what group a school will remain in at the end of the season.
U14
The U14 competition runs from January
There are 4 grades A, B, C & D
This competition concludes at Leinster Final Stage.
U-14 must be under 14 years of age on or after the 1st of July
Leinster Council will decide as to what group a school will remain in at the end of the season.
The U14 D Competition progresses from a blitz day held in March
It is essential that all date deadlines are strictly followed. If date deadlines are not adhered to, the offending school will not be invited to participate in subsequent competitions.
Registration
Registration for all Leinster LGFA Post-Primary Schools Competition closes in April. For more information or to register your school contact Margaret Brennan admin.leinster@lgfa.ie
The affiliation fee per participating school is €80.00.
All participating schools are obliged to have their fee submitted to Margaret Brennan, Leinster Post-Primary Schools Secretary, prior to the commencement of the competitions.
Team lists must be submitted at the beginning of the year using the following form: PPS Team List Form
Referees:
Appointment of referees in league games is the responsibility of the home schools.
Referees for Leinster P-P-S games MUST be Garda Vetted and have completed a minimum of LGFA Level 1, and annual Level 2 refresher course.
Contact Margaret Brennan for a list of qualified Ladies Football Referees.
Leinster LGFA will appoint referees for all semi-finals and finals.
Results
The home team must communicate the result of the match to Margaret Brennan, email admin.leinster@lgfa.ie, phone 057-8671255 or Text to 087-7945381 on the day of the fixture. Please include name of school, opposition and result.

Inter-Provincials
The Lidl All Ireland PPS Inter-Provincial Tournament is held in January.
Schools will be invited to nominate Senior players who are of Inter-County Minor/Adult standard for the Leinster Post Primary School Panel.
